The second-hand shopping app has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes without notifying all shoppers about the modification. Social Media Reaction Countless users and merchants are posting online stating that platform listings now display a different size category than originally posted as a result of the reclassification. The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces. It has advised users to review their products and manually change the size if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Modifications Before the change, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, for instance S/8 or M/10. The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. Member Stories Frankie Bridger, who creates plus-size fashion videos, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Another user, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she stated. Manual Updates A different user, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".
