Iranian Forces State Attack on US Base in Bahrain, During Widespread Counterattacks.

Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a significant and continuing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the US has remained silent.

Missile Defenses Activated

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations linked to the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with great effectiveness and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.

It said debris fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
