I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
